Firearm Safety & Training at the VFW

  • 1045 Dahlonega Highway Cumming, GA, 30040 United States (map)

Join the Forsyth County Georgia Democratic Party and National African American Gun Association as we present our Firearm Safety & Training Event. The event consists of two parts with the first one being open to all at no charge. The second will be limited to 20 participants. The full details continue below.

We're very pleased to offer comprehensive firearm training to the community on Saturday, August 3, 2019 beginning at 9 AM. The National African American Gun Association will teach about the safe operations and marksmanship basics of standard caliber handguns. Handouts and video presentation will be included in the training, which runs until 11 AM.

After a lunch break (with food provided) from 11 AM until Noon, our range session will begin. Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be along side participants as they engage in firearm shooting practice at the VFW's range. If you do not have a handgun, the RSOs will have them available for use. For proper training and safety, we are limiting the range session to 20 participants with a nominal fee to cover items including ear & eye protection as well as ammunition. A link to the signup for that portion of the event and pricing will be available shortly.

We look forward to seeing you as we're proud to bring this highly regarded organization to Forsyth County and help better inform our community.

Due to the high interest in the event, please RSVP here for the Safety & Training Event. Again, an additional signup for the range will be published shortly.
